Bob Marley meets Tupac.
Leaf of Life is a gritty Kingston, Jamaica born roots reggae and dancehall artist. Self-taught, his talents encompass all musical art forms: writer, composer, producer & vocalist.
Professionally, Leaf of Life has released over 40 singles, compilations, EP’s, albums and music videos under his record label Haile Cush Records. Leaf of Life got accepted to be in the newest member class of the Recording Academy, allowing him to vote & be nominated for the Grammys. Life hasn't been easy for Leaf of Life, most of his friends & family didn't make it out. While he's faced many trials as a ghetto youth, he hasn't let that hold him back. He's already reached Billboard with his combination with Lutan Fyah & Akae Beka "So di World a Run", wrote songs for big acts such as Queen Ifrica, started a non-profit for youth (Leaf of Life Youth Rising HaileCush.com/youthrising) & performed at the top shows in the US & Jamaica.
From the community of Dunmair Close in Kingston 19, Jamaica, Leaf of Life recorded under the Young Blood label until he recognized Rastafari as his calling. He attended the famed Ethiopia Africa Black International Congress (EABIC), in Bobo Hill, Bull Bay and the School of Vision at Blue Mountain Peak. He provides creative direction for Leaf of Life Youth Rising’s events for families, and is the connective glue between the organization’s early childhood education and literacy project work in California and in Kingston.
